The Buying Process


 

Step One: Pre-Approval

Let’s get you pre-approved! - Rally Point Properties is partnered with a rockstar lender that is ranked in the top 1% of the nation (Overall and for VA).  Although you do not need to work with our lender to work with us, we are more than happy to connect you if needed. Getting your pre-approval in your first step is imperative to give you the highest buying power possible in our competitive market, as well as ensuring you are looking in the best price range for your goals and needs.


Step Two: Initial Consultation

This step  usually happens after pre-approval, depending on the circumstances. This appointment is roughly an hour long in which we will go over the buying process here in WA, answer any and all of your questions you may have, go into more depth about your home buying goals, and set you up with an automated search in our portal. This appointment exercises our  “go slow now, so we can go fast later” mentality.


Step Three: House Shopping

We will be looking at different homes that you love and I will ask you to rate each home we view, and start asking you more questions to dive deeper into what your dream home truly is. This really helps me to be able to understand your goals better. Our motto is “We would rather ask you 500 homes, than show you 500 hundred houses”. If we are doing our job correctly, we should know exactly what you are looking for after the first few homes we see together. (This still needs some work I think)


Step Four: Offer

Working with Rally Point Properties, you will be working with highly experienced specialists that can fight for you in our market. We have studied numerous different negotiating strategies that have proven to have vast amount of success when writing offers for our clients. Our main priority is to get you in the home, and save you money when the opportunity arises. Ultimately, the decision is completely up to you on how to write the offer, but we will advise you on the best offer given the situation so you have all of the information necessary to make that decision.


Step Five: Offer Has Been Accepted

At Rally Point Properties, we walk you through each step of the process from day 1 all the way to the big exciting close date! During this time you will go through an inspection period, an appraisal (if it is not a cash offer), work on getting all needed documents requested by your lender and escrow and start planning how you will decorate your new home! We will be giving you weekly updates, while we check in with your lender and escrow to ensure we are being proactive to help for a smooth process. You not only get 100% hands on help from your Agent but also the team to help at times that your agent is not available right away. We pride ourselves at Rally Point Properties in ensuring you have the best communication, direction and support throughout your entire transaction to not only meet your expectations but to exceed them.


Step Six: Closing Day

Bring on the champagne! - The best day! One business day prior to closing you will sign all of your escrow paperwork. These last few days can be a little hectic so we at Rally Point Properties make sure you have the expectation of the moving parts. On closing day, once we receive word that your documents have been recorded with the county, you are officially homeowners! Your agent will meet you at the property to give you the keys and take some fun family photos to remember the day!


Step Seven: Follow-Ups & Check-Ins

You will hear from our team to ensure you understand that we want to be a resource for you for life. Whether you need a trusted recommendation of a good contractor, cleaning person, landscaper etc. We have built lasting relationships with vendors around the area and would love to help you get connected with the right people (we do not receive any compensation for our recommendation...we simply want to make sure you are in good hands in the future).
